A client within the Renewable Energy industry, with a focus on Solar Energy is looking for a data-driven Performance Marketer to join their team in Pretoria, GP. You will live in the ad accounts. You will build campaigns across different platforms, watch how they perform, and keep tuning them until they deliver. Some experiments will fly. Some will flop. The fun is in finding out which is which, fast.

A good day looks like a hunch that paid off, a test that told you something useful, or a cost that dropped because you spotted the leak before anyone else did. You will dig into the data, brief sharper creative, and keep an eye on where every rand goes.

What you own:

These are the outcomes you will be accountable for:

• Lead volume and quality from various channels, hit consistently against a monthly target.
• Cost per qualified lead, kept within an agreed range while volume grows.
• Return on ad spend across the channels you run.
• Clear, honest, vanity-free weekly reporting on what is working, what is not, and what you are changing.

Responsabilities:

• Plan, build and optimise paid campaigns across Google Ads and Meta, with LinkedIn and other channels as we expand.
• Run rigorous testing. Form a consolidated view, test, read results, then scale what works and kill what does not.
• Use analytics tools to measure performance and turn the numbers into clear next actions, not just dashboards.
• Use keyword research, audience segmentation and competitor analysis to guide where the budget goes.
• Work closely with the creative team to brief and shape ad creative that is built to convert, backed by data.
• Manage budgets carefully, spending where it returns and pulling back where it does not.
• Work directly with the Head of Marketing, take feedback well, and bring your own thinking to the table.

Requirements:

We care more about how fast you learn than how long you have been doing this.

• Fast learning. Our tools, platforms and tactics change constantly. You pick up new systems quickly and turn them into results without being walked through every step.
• A sharp analytical mind. You are comfortable with data, you trust evidence over opinion, and you can read a number and know what it is telling you.
• Paid media experience. Two to four years running paid campaigns with results you can talk through. A strong track record matters more than years on a CV.
• Strong Excel and analytics skills. You can structure data, build a clear view, and report what matters without drowning it in detail.
• A team player. You do your best work with people, not around them. You share what you learn and you raise the people around you.
• A relevant qualification, or equivalent proof that you can do the work.

Advantageous Skills:

• Working knowledge of SEO, on-page, off-page and technical.
• Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz or Hotjar.
• An understanding of conversion rate optimisation and landing page testing methodologies.
• Experience in a fast-moving, competitive digital environment.
