We are looking for a driven and results-focused Lead Generator / Business Development Specialist to support the growth of a business operating within recruitment, training, and development services, primarily servicing clients in the IT and professional services sectors.
This role is focused on identifying new business opportunities, opening conversations with potential clients, and building a strong pipeline of qualified leads. While experience in recruitment, training & development, or the IT sector is preferred, candidates from other industries are welcome if they have a proven ability to successfully generate new business.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and research potential clients within the IT, corporate, and professional services markets
Proactively generate new leads through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, networking, and referrals
Engage with decision-makers to understand their business needs and challenges
Book qualified meetings and pass warm leads to senior sales or management teams
Maintain accurate records of leads, interactions, and follow-ups
Work consistently towards monthly and quarterly lead generation targets
Build and nurture long-term relationships with prospective clients
Stay informed about service offerings, market trends, and client needs
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven experience in lead generation, business development, or B2B sales
Background in recruitment, training & development, or IT-related industries will be advantageous
Candidates from other industries are welcome if they have a strong track record of winning new clients
Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and persuasion skills
Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and decision-makers
Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
