The Junior Payroll Administrator supports the payroll function by assisting with the accurate and timely processing of employee pay. This role is ideal for someone starting a career in payroll or HR, with strong attention to detail and an interest in learning payroll legislation and systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Help respond to employee payroll queries in a professional manner
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files
• Assist with payroll reports and audits as required
• Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality requirements
• Processing of all UIF documentation
Skills & Competencies
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good numeracy skills
• Basic IT skills, particularly Excel
• Organised with the ability to meet deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn payroll software, legislation and procedures
Knowledge & Experience
• Previous administrative experience preferred (payroll or HR desirable but not essential)
• Basic understanding of payroll processes (training will be provided)
