HVAC Assistant

Qetello Holdings is recruiting on behalf of a reputable client in the HVAC industry. We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Assistant to join their technical team based in Montana, Pretoria.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with solid HVAC experience, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a willingness to support installation, maintenance, and repair operations within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist HVAC Technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems

• Support servicing of air-conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems

• Perform basic fault-finding and troubleshooting under supervision

• Assist with site preparation, tools, and equipment setup

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company standards

• Carry out routine maintenance tasks including cleaning and system checks

• Assist with loading, offloading, and transporting HVAC equipment and materials

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in good condition

• Provide general technical support to senior technicians on-site

• Complete job cards and basic service documentation where required

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric (essential)

• Minimum 2 years HVAC experience

• Driver’s License

• General working knowledge of HVAC systems (residential, commercial, or industrial)

• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems related to HVAC

• Ability to use hand tools and basic HVAC equipment

• Strong problem-solving and technical aptitude

• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions accurately

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (advantageous)

• Own reliable transport (preferred)

• Willingness to work overtime and attend to emergency call-outs when required

• Physically fit and able to work in various site conditions
