The Education Tax Consultant will provide operational, technical and administrative support across education and training programmes. The role combines workplace-provider monitoring, trainee and logbook compliance, assessment and examination coordination, stakeholder support, financial administration and accurate programme reporting.
Working across the Education Department and with workplace providers, supervisors, trainees, students, universities, subject-matter experts and other stakeholders, the successful candidate will help ensure consistent service delivery, sound governance and ongoing quality assurance.

What You'll Do
Coordinate and conduct monitoring visits to accredited workplace providers
Monitor trainee progress, logbook activity and compliance with programme requirements
Support workplace providers, supervisors, trainees and students with programme-related queries
Prepare monitoring reports and maintain accurate records of findings
Track corrective actions and follow up on outstanding compliance matters
Support workplace-provider accreditation and ongoing compliance activities
Maintain complete and audit-ready records relating to workplace providers, supervisors and trainees
Support the planning and administration of Board Examinations and other assessments
Coordinate assessment development, moderation and quality-assurance activities
Assist with candidate eligibility reviews, communications and examination readiness
Coordinate invigilators, venues, examination documentation and related logistics
Maintain accurate assessment and examination records
Assist with syllabus updates, qualification reviews and education projects
Liaise with examiners, moderators, subject-matter experts, universities and industry stakeholders
Monitor project milestones and support delivery within agreed timelines
Process trainee and workplace-provider registrations
Raise education-related invoices and support debtor follow-up and collections
Review and process supplier invoices
Assist with reconciliations and maintain accurate supporting documentation
Support credit adjustments and financial record management where required
Prepare operational and financial reports for the Education Department
Respond professionally and timeously to stakeholder enquiries
Support stakeholder meetings, workshops and education-related engagements
Maintain accurate programme data and stakeholder records
Assist with policy implementation, compliance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
Contribute to effective collaboration across Education, Finance and other relevant teams
What You Bring
A postgraduate degree in Taxation, Accounting, Commerce or a related field
Formal studies in taxation will be advantageous
Two to three years' relevant experience in taxation or accounting, education administration, training or programme coordination, compliance or quality assurance, or a professional-body environment
Experience engaging with students, trainees, employers and other stakeholders
Experience in invoicing, debtor management, reconciliations or financial administration
Experience using Microsoft Excel for reporting, data management and reconciliations
Sound understanding of South African tax principles
Good understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts
Strong administrative, planning and organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prepare clear reports and maintain accurate records
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Proficiency in Excel, including data capturing, basic formulas, filtering, reporting, spreadsheet management and reconciliations
Ability to learn and work effectively with education, assessment and membership systems
