We’re Hiring: Assistant Manager – Cracker Zac’s (Pretoria East) Cracker Zac’s, South Africa’s premier competitive socializing venue, is looking for a dynamic Assistant Manager to join our Front of House leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious hospitality professional ready to step into a management role that blends hands-on floor leadership with administrative and compliance responsibilities. You’ll be the second-in-command to the Front of House Manager, ensuring seamless guest experiences, motivated teams, and operational excellence. ? Key Responsibilities • Lead FOH shifts, supervising bartenders, hosts, runners, and cleaners • Handle guest interactions and resolve issues with professionalism • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff • Perform cash-ups, reconciliations, and manage tips • Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and liquor licensing regulations • Provide daily operational feedback and assist with reporting • Act as deputy when senior management is absent ? Qualifications & Experience • Matric (Grade 12) – essential • Hospitality Management qualification – advantageous • 2–3 years’ experience in hospitality or restaurant management (floor or assistant manager level) • Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments preferred ? Skills & Attributes • Strong leadership and people management skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities • Calm under pressure, quick problem-solving skills • Customer-focused mindset with service excellence approach • Organizational and time management skills • Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and reconciliations • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and public holidays ?
