Our Client in the Logistics and Shipping Industry is seeking to employ a Shipping Coordinator to join their team based in Port Elizabeth.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday | 09h00 – 15h00
Requirements:
Proven experience in shipping or logistics coordination
Demonstrated export experience
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Articulate and professional communication skills (written and verbal)
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport (non-negotiable)
Ability to multitask and work accurately under pressure
Experience working with Pastel – advantageous but not essential
Responsibilities:
Shipping and Logistics
Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders and courier companies
Arrange collections and deliveries for international, national, and local partners
Manage and process export documentation in line with regulatory requirements
Prepare invoices, packing lists, airway bills, and related shipping documents
Track shipments and resolve delivery or customs-related issues
Maintain accurate shipping records and filing systems
Client Liaison
Communicate professionally with clients regarding collections, deliveries, and shipment updates
Build and maintain strong relationships with the client base
Handle queries efficiently and ensure high service standards
Reception and Administration
Operate the company switchboard and direct calls appropriately
Provide general administrative support to the team
Assist with capturing and processing information on internal systems
