Our client, a prominent Christian Radio Station, is seeking to appoint an experienced Station Manager to join their dynamic team based in Gqeberha.
Requirements:
Relevant qualification in Media, Communications, Management, or a related field (preferred).
3–5 years’ management experience within radio, media, or a related industry.
Strong leadership, financial management, and organisational skills.
Experience with digital platforms, social media, and/or audio production tools will be advantageous.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Sound understanding of community radio values and the South African broadcasting environment.
Ability to balance community service objectives with financial sustainability.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and ensure the station fulfils its community broadcasting mandate.
Oversee daily operations including programming, production, marketing, finance, HR, and administration.
Drive revenue generation through fundraising, sponsorships, and advertising.
Ensure compliance with ICASA regulations, broadcasting codes, and license conditions.
Manage and mentor staff, volunteers, and presenters, fostering a positive and inclusive culture.
Build and strengthen relationships with stakeholders, advertisers, and the local community.
Promote innovation in content development, audience engagement, and digital platforms.
