Job Summary
Our client in the Water and Wastewater Management Services Industry, and based in Port Elizabeth; is currently looking to employ an experienced Operations Manager.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in advanced water treatment secures!
Requirements:
- B.Eng or B-Tech in Chemical Engineering (Chemical Engineering Qualification is preferred. Civil and Mechanical will be considered depending on relevant experience)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in advanced water treatment.
- Experience in RO, UF, Precipitation, Clarification will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in managing staff will be an advantage.
- Understanding of plant health and managing water treatment assets.
- Relevant management experience.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Oversee and manage respective Plant Supervisor(s), Production and Maintenance teams within the area of responsibility.
- Manage production and maintenance team utilization and performance / output.
- Responsible for plant performance and compliance to contractual quality and quantity KPI’s.
- Ensure compliance and client safety standards.
- Take accountability for Safety Performance in accordance with the MHSA/OSHA legal appointment.
- Maintain effective administration and control procedures to meet performance objectives, including financial control, HR/IR, procurement and stock management.
- Continuous improvement and optimization of processes.
- Implement and maintain Financial Control with Profit & Loss accountability for the plant(s).
- Monitoring and detail records and reporting on all aspects of the processes, ongoing projects.
- Ensure efficient resource management of employees to ensure they can meet the performance objectives required of them.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering a professional and high-quality service.
- Client feedback meetings and reporting as required.
- Compile Plant Reports and attend client meetings as required.
- Monitor plant health and pro-actively intervene to ensure plant availability is optimized.
- Perform plant operational standby duties.
