Function Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Power User who will grow into an internal specialist in Ometa, a powerful low-code platform for data integration and digitisation.
Ometa collects data from various sources, mainly via APIs and connectors for systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, CRM, Microsoft 365, databases, as well as field data from controllers. This data is structured and made available through user-friendly dashboards, workflows, and digital workspaces (integrated with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint).
As an Ometa Power User, you will support the business in making optimal use of the platform. You will act as the first point of contact for user queries, resolve basic issues, provide feedback to the development team, and perform minor configurations. This role is ideal for someone who can bridge the gap between business processes and technical solutions.
You will receive internal training and play a key role in the adoption, optimisation, and continuous improvement of Ometa within the organisation.
In addition to Ometa, you may also be involved in development within the Microsoft Power Platform, with potential exposure to Ignition Cloud.
Responsibilities
- Understand and explain how Ometa and its dashboards function
- Provide first-line support to users (troubleshooting and query resolution)
- Collect user feedback and share insights with the central development team
- Build and customise dashboards
- Analyse business processes and identify data requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
- Test and validate configurations to ensure optimal user experience
- Support change management initiatives related to system implementation and adoption
- Research and implement new data integrations (e.g. Eplan, Business Central, Phronesys, and other tools)
Required Skills and Competencies Functional & Technical Skills
- Proven knowledge of:
- Microsoft 365 environment
- Low-code platforms
- System integrations
- APIs (development and integration)
- SQL (reading and writing queries)
- Data models (fields, relationships, master vs transactional data)
- SharePoint
- Basic knowledge of:
- Good understanding of business processes and process analysis
- Azure, Power BI, and .NET experience advantageous
- Experience in an engineering environment is beneficial but not essential
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Attention to detail with strong testing and validation skills
- Understanding of user experience and business needs
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Business Analysis, Data Management, Process Optimisation or similar)
- Minimum 5 years’ working experience
- Experience as a Power User or Key User of business systems (ERP, CRM, BI tools) is advantageous
- Proactive, service-driven, and eager to learn
- Strong interest in data, systems, and digital transformation
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
