We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is eager to apply their academic knowledge in a practical environment, with a particular focus on HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design and development of HVAC systems and mechanical components
- Support project planning, site inspections, and system commissioning
- Prepare technical drawings, reports, and documentation
- Conduct basic calculations and performance analysis for HVAC systems
- Collaborate with senior engineers, contractors, and clients
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
- Troubleshoot and assist in resolving mechanical and HVAC-related issues
- Provide administrative and technical support across engineering projects
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Technology (BTech) or BEng in Mechanical Engineering (recent graduate)
- Basic knowledge or exposure to HVAC systems (academic or practical)
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; exposure to CAD software is advantageous
