Job Summary
Our client, in the manufacturing industry and a prominent brand; is seeking to employ a Junior Bookkeeper to join their Finance team based in Coega.
Requirements:
- Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or Business Administration
- Minimum 1–3 years’ experience as a Junior Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles
- Experience with creditors and debtors functions
- Knowledge of SAP and EMA systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong planning, organisational, and administrative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping and Financial Administration
- Maintain accurate financial transaction records
- Process and post financial transactions to subsidiary accounts
- Reconcile subsidiary accounts and general ledger accounts
- Maintain historical financial records electronically and manually
- Assist with defining operational and product-related costs
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with month-end financial reporting
Fixed Assets Administration
- Assist with maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
- Ensure timely capitalisation of fixed assets
- Support fixed asset tracking and reporting processes
Creditors and Debtors Administration
- Process supplier invoices accurately and timeously
- Reconcile creditor accounts to supplier statements
- Prepare creditor payments for authorisation
- Obtain approvals for payments exceeding authorised limits
- Support debtor and accounts administration activities
Intercompany Transactions
- Process intercompany invoices
- Reconcile intercompany balances and transactions
- Ensure accurate financial reporting between entities
