Requirements
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Extensive HR experience, preferably within an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation
- Experience with HR systems such as SAP, SuccessFactors, and payroll platforms
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High level of accountability, adaptability, and flexibility
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Responsibilities
- Take full HR ownership for South African operations, acting as the trusted advisor to management and employees
- Lead and execute core HR functions including talent management, compensation planning, and employee engagement
- Implement and drive the company’s People Strategy locally
- Lead HR projects and implement advanced systems and tools in collaboration with global teams
- Deliver efficient and high-quality HR operational services
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with trade unions
- Represent the organisation at external labour relations bodies including Bargaining Councils and industry associations
- Drive Employment Equity (EE) strategy and ensure compliance
- Ensure adherence to governance, risk management frameworks, and company policies
- Act as a change agent to support organisational transformation
- Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team
