Job Summary
A lodge in KwaZulu-Natal is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Senior Field Guide to deliver exceptional wildlife experiences for guests. The successful candidate will conduct guided game drives, share knowledge of the natural environment, and contribute to the overall guest experience at the lodge.Conduct morning and late afternoon/evening game drives for guests
Provide informative and engaging wildlife interpretations
Ensure the safety of guests always during activities
Prepare vehicles before drives and wash/clean vehicles after use
Assist with hot box preparation and drive refreshments
Maintain guiding equipment and vehicles in good condition
Assist with general lodge duties when required
Uphold high standards of hospitality and guest service
Requirements
Valid Field Guide qualification (NQF 2)
NQF 4 and Trails guide qualification advantageous - Min 3 years experience
Valid driver’s license and PDP
First Aid certification
Strong knowledge of wildlife, ecology, and conservation
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Professional, well-presented, and guest-focused
Ability to work long hours in outdoor conditions
Leadership role with the team, team player with a positive attitude

Benefits

- 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off
- Salary between R11000 - R15000 with 3 - 6 years working experience
- Salary between R15,000 - R23,000 6 - 8+ years working experience
