Working closely with the activities, events, and vehicle teams, you will play a vital role in ensuring guests experience seamless game drives and lodge activities while upholding the lodge’s reputation for service excellence. As a Lodge Operations Assistant, you will assist with preparing vehicles for game drives, loading and unloading food, beverages, and equipment, and ensuring all tools and operational resources are well maintained and readily available. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work early mornings and late afternoons in line with game drive schedules. You will also support the Vehicle Fleet Manager and Events Manager by assisting with logistics, equipment movement, and general depot organization across operational areas. This position offers valuable exposure to luxury lodge operations and is well suited to individuals with a practical, can-do attitude who are willing to support various departments when needed. Job Description & Responsibilities Assist the Activities Coordinator with loading food, beverages, and supplies onto game drive vehicles Ensure vehicles are properly prepared with required equipment before scheduled game drives Assist with unloading and organizing equipment after game drives Support the Vehicle Fleet Manager with logistical and operational tasks Ensure tools, compressors, power washers, and ranger equipment are functional and organized Monitor equipment and report faults or maintenance needs Maintain a clean, organized vehicle depot area Assist with moving equipment and supplies across lodge operational areas Provide general operational support to the Events Manager and activities team Ensure all work areas are orderly and ready for daily operations Minimum Requirements Practical experience in operational, logistics, or maintenance support roles Ability to perform manual tasks including lifting and loading Reliable; responsible, and strong work ethic Comfortable working in a remote lodge environment Available for early mornings and late afternoons Advantageous Skills Lodge; hospitality, or farm work experience Basic mechanical or maintenance knowledge Equipment and logistics handling experience Personal Attributes Hardworking and dependable Hands-on and practical mindset Team-oriented and supportive Well-organized with attention to detail Positive and proactive attitude Package · Salary: R 15 000 per month · Live- in Start Date: ASAP
