Salary: R15,000 – R25,000 DOE (Live-in)

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and passionate Field Guide / Anchor Couple for a luxury game reserve in the Free State. This unique opportunity is ideal for guides who are at the top of their game, with extensive experience on Big Five reserves, and a genuine passion for wildlife, conservation, and personalised guest experiences.

The reserve offers a distinctive safari experience with tigers and cheetahs, providing guides with the chance to work in an exciting, non-traditional environment where game drives are small, focused, and photographically oriented.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct personalised game drives with a maximum of six guests per vehicle
  

• Share in-depth wildlife knowledge and conservation insights with guests
  

• Assist guests with photography during drives, including camera settings, angles, and lighting
  

• Support the creation of photographic and video content for social media (optional)
  

• Ensure the safety of guests and animals during all activities
  

• Maintain and care for safari vehicles and equipment
  

• Collaborate with lodge staff to provide exceptional guest service
  

• Uphold the reserve’s standards of professionalism, safety, and sustainability
  

Requirements:

• CATHSSETA NQF2, FGASA, or equivalent qualification
  

• Registered with the National Department of Tourism
  

• Valid PDP license
  

• Valid First Aid certification
  

• Extensive guiding experience, preferably on Big Five reserves
  

• Strong energy, enthusiasm, and passion for wildlife and conservation
  

• Photography skills and knowledge of guest engagement on a photographic level advantageous
  

• Optional photo and video editing skills for content creation
