Spa Therapist Location: Strandloper Ocean Boutique Hotel, Paternoster, 7381 Department: Spa & Wellness Reports To: General Manager Position Summary: As a Spa Therapist at Strandloper Ocean Boutique Hotel, you will be an essential ambassador of our wellness philosophy, providing bespoke treatments in a serene coastal setting. This role focuses on delivering a luxurious, personalised spa experience that reflects the hotel's commitment to excellence, tranquillity, and holistic guest wellbeing. You will be expected to offer a range of face and body treatments with the highest level of professionalism and guest care, ensuring that each guest leaves feeling nurtured, restored, and pampered. Key Responsibilities: Guest Experience & Treatment Delivery Provide a wide range of spa treatments including massages, facials, body scrubs, wraps, and beauty treatments in line with 5-star standards. Conduct thorough consultations to understand guest needs and tailor treatments accordingly. Create a calm, welcoming, and personalised environment for each guest, ensuring comfort and privacy at all times. Educate guests on available treatments, aftercare, and wellness routines when appropriate. Spa Hygiene & Presentation Maintain impeccable cleanliness and hygiene of all treatment rooms, tools, and common areas according to health and safety regulations. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary equipment, linen, and products ahead of each booking. Ensure the spa ambiance is consistently maintained (lighting, scents, music, cleanliness). Team Collaboration & Administration Collaborate closely with the Spa Manager, Reception, and Housekeeping to ensure seamless guest service. Keep accurate records of treatments performed, product usage, and guest feedback. Assist with spa reception duties when required, including bookings and guest queries. Participate in daily spa briefings, team meetings, and product or treatment training sessions. Product Knowledge & Upselling Stay informed on all spa menu offerings, skincare products, and wellness trends. Confidently recommend suitable products and treatments to enhance the guest’s wellness journey. Upsell retail products in a genuine and knowledgeable manner, supporting the spa’s revenue targets. Requirements: Recognised qualification in beauty therapy or massage (e.g. ITEC, CIDESCO, SAAHSP, or equivalent) Minimum 2 years of experience in a luxury spa or boutique hotel setting Skilled in a wide range of body and facial treatments, with excellent touch and technique Professional; well-groomed, and able to uphold the brand’s image Passionate about wellness, customer service, and delivering thoughtful care Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage What We Offer: A tranquil and inspiring work environment overlooking the ocean Competitive remuneration package Opportunities for ongoing training and development A supportive and professional team culture
