Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Stock Controller for a luxury boutique winery based in Paarl, Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate stock levels, ensuring smooth inventory operations, and supporting the operational and financial performance of the winery.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain accurate stock records for all wine, beverage, and related inventory
Perform regular stock counts, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment to ensure uninterrupted operations
Receive and inspect incoming stock deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality
Maintain proper storage conditions and adhere to winery handling standards
Update stock systems and documentation in line with company SOPs
Support cost control initiatives by monitoring wastage and discrepancies
Liaise with procurement, production, and sales teams to ensure stock availability
Assist with reporting and financial documentation related to inventory
Requirements:
Previous experience in stock control, preferably within the wine or luxury hospitality sector
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with inventory management systems and MS Office
