Executive Chef – Luxury Boutique Hotel – KwaZulu-Natal North Coast Our client, an exclusive luxury boutique hotel property on the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast, is seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to lead its kitchen team and deliver exceptional culinary experiences. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of R35,000 – R40,000 per month. Description: The Executive Chef will oversee all culinary operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, creativity, and consistency across the property’s dining outlets. You will be responsible for menu development, kitchen management, cost control, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. In this leadership role, you will inspire and mentor your team, implement innovative food concepts, and work closely with management to align the culinary offering with the brand’s luxury positioning. The role also requires managing supplier relationships, controlling budgets, monitoring stock and wastage, and ensuring operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a hands-on approach, passionate about creating memorable dining experiences that celebrate fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients. Compensation: Salary: R35,000 – R40,000 per month Start Date: ASAP Requirements: 8–10 years’ professional kitchen experience, including at least 3–5 years in an Executive Chef role within luxury hotels, resorts, or lodges Proven expertise in menu design, cost management, and kitchen administration Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to build a motivated team Excellent knowledge of food trends, modern techniques, and plating styles Sound understanding of HACCP and kitchen safety regulations Financial acumen and supplier negotiation skills Flexible and adaptable, with a hands-on management style
