Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced and driven External Sales & Rentals Representative to join their team in Witbank. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing customer relationships, promoting the company's range of industrial products and equipment, and achieving agreed sales and rental targets.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in external sales, preferably within the welding, tools, PPE, generators, consumables or industrial equipment sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Witbank and surrounding areas.
Conduct regular customer visits and generate sales through effective external sales activities.
Promote and sell welders, welding consumables, PPE, tools, generators and industrial equipment.
Promote equipment rental solutions and identify opportunities to grow the rental customer base.
Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and close sales.
Achieve monthly and annual sales and rental targets.
Provide excellent customer service and ongoing after-sales support.
Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
Build long-term relationships with key customers and industrial clients.
Travel to customer sites as required.
Minimum Requirements
Proven experience in External Sales.
Previous experience selling welding equipment, welding consumables, PPE, tools, generators and/or industrial equipment will be highly advantageous.
Experience in equipment rentals will be an advantage.
Strong new-business development and customer relationship skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Target-driven, self-motivated and able to work independently.
Valid driver's licence.
Own reliable vehicle for commuting to work is preferred/required.
