Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Financial Manager to oversee the financial operations of our Particle Board Production Line. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic finance professional with strong manufacturing experience to play a key role in driving operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will work closely with production, procurement, and senior management to provide financial leadership, ensure effective cost management, and support strategic decision-making.
Location: Mpumalanga
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the particle board production line.
Monitor and analyse production costs, including raw materials, utilities, maintenance, and overheads.
Identify manufacturing cost variances and recommend cost-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives.
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
Ensure accurate inventory valuation and cost accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
Develop financial models to evaluate capital expenditure and operational improvement projects.
Experience
5 - 10 years' progressive experience in finance and accounting.
At least 3 - 5 years' experience in a Financial Management role within a manufacturing environment.
Experience in the wood products industry, including particle board, MDF, or similar industrial manufacturing will be advantageous.
Strong experience in manufacturing cost accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and inventory management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in financial reporting tools.
