Hotel General Manager | Mooi River | Luxury Boutique Hotel We are seeking an experienced HOTEL GENERAL MANAGER to lead a luxury boutique property in the Mooi River area, KZN. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, financial performance, and guest satisfaction, ensuring the hotel maintains its reputation for exceptional service and compliance with brand and legal standards. Key Responsibilities Operations: Oversee all departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance, Sales & Marketing, Finance) and ensure smooth daily operations with high service standards. Financial Management: Prepare budgets, monitor P&L, control costs, and implement revenue strategies to maximize profitability. Leadership: Recruit, train, and motivate staff; foster a positive culture of teamwork and service excellence; manage performance and compliance with labour laws. Sales & Guest Experience: Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to grow revenue streams, build client relationships, and enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty. Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and legal regulations; oversee maintenance, security, and risk management. Qualifications & Experience Degree/diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field. 5–10 years’ hospitality experience, including 3–5 years in senior management. Proven track record in hotel operations, budgeting, and revenue management. Strong knowledge of PMS, revenue systems, and financial reporting. Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and people-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Financial acumen and strategic thinking. Customer-focused with problem-solving ability. Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Working Conditions & Package Full-time; on-site role with flexible hours (including weekends/public holidays). Included: Onsite accommodation, utilities (water, electricity, Wi-Fi), and work bakkie for business use. Not Included: Medical aid or additional benefits. Salary: starting from R45000 per month, negotiable and depending on qualifications.
