Salary: R8,500 Negotiable DOE (Live-in)
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Field Guide with a strong focus on wildlife photography and filming for a luxury private game reserve based in KwaZulu-Natal. This role is suited to a guide who not only delivers exceptional guiding experiences but also has a genuine enthusiasm for capturing and sharing the beauty of the bush through photography and video.
The successful candidate will be responsible for hosting and guiding guests on game drives while assisting them with photographic opportunities and techniques, ensuring memorable and educational safari experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting informative and engaging game drives for lodge guests
Assisting guests with wildlife photography and filming during safari activities
Identifying and positioning vehicles for optimal photographic opportunities
Sharing knowledge of wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation with guests
Ensuring guest safety and adherence to reserve regulations at all times
Maintaining guiding equipment and safari vehicles to high standards
Assisting with general lodge activities when required
Requirements:
Minimum FGASA qualification
Valid PDP and driver’s licence
Valid First Aid certification
Previous guiding experience within a luxury safari lodge environment advantageous
A strong passion for wildlife photography and filming
A portfolio or link to previous photography/filming work is required
Excellent guest interaction and communication skills
Professional, enthusiastic, and passionate about the bush
