Job Summary
We are seeking a highly driven ICT Sales Executive with a proven track record in new business development within the telecommunications, office automation, and ICT sector.
The ideal candidate will have experience selling solutions such as:
- Office printers/copiers
- VoIP and PBX solutions
- Internet connectivity and fibre solutions
- Cloud communication services
- CCTV/security solutions
- Managed IT services
- Network infrastructure solutions
This role is best suited for a hunter personality - someone who thrives on identifying new opportunities, opening doors, building pipelines, and consistently closing new business deals. The successful candidate must be target-driven, self-managed, and comfortable operating in a highly competitive market.
Key Responsibilities New Business Development
- Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities within SME, corporate, and enterprise markets
- Cold call prospective clients daily to generate leads and appointments
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers and industry trends
- Generate revenue through acquiring new clients and expanding market reach
Sales & Client Acquisition
- Present and sell ICT and telecom solutions to prospective clients
- Conduct client needs assessments and recommend tailored solutions
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and solution presentations
- Negotiate pricing and contracts with clients
- Close deals and consistently meet/exceed sales targets
Account Management
- Build long-term relationships with clients
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Coordinate handovers to implementation/support teams after deal closure
Pipeline & Reporting
- Maintain accurate CRM records
- Track leads, opportunities, and conversion ratios
- Provide weekly sales reports and pipeline updates
- Forecast monthly and quarterly sales performance
Market Representation
- Attend networking events, expos, and business meetings
- Represent the business professionally in the market
- Stay updated on telecom and ICT industry trends, competitors, and product offerings
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years external sales experience within:
- Telecommunications
- Office automation/copiers
- Managed print services
- ICT infrastructure
- Connectivity solutions
- VoIP/PBX solutions
- Proven experience in new business development
- Strong cold calling and prospecting experience
- Demonstrated history of achieving sales targets
- Experience selling solution-based products/services rather than transactional products
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
- Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles
