Lodge Manager | Boutique Luxury Lodge | Marloth Park R20;000 – R25,000 per month (DOE) Accommodation: Live-Out Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a proactive, multiskilled, and guest-focused Lodge Manager to take full operational ownership of a boutique luxury lodge in Marloth Park. This is a live-out role, ideally suited to a local resident or someone willing to commute, who can manage the property with responsibility, attention to detail, and a strong service ethos. Minimum Requirements: • 3–5 years’ experience in lodge or hospitality management • Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent practical experience • Strong administrative skills and proficiency in booking systems (e.g. NightsBridge) • Solid understanding of budgeting and stock control • Basic DIY and maintenance skills • Exceptional communication skills and emotional maturity • Valid South African Driver’s Licence and reliable personal transport • First Aid Level 1 certification (advantageous) • FGASA / DEAT registration advantageous Key Responsibilities: Guest Excellence • Manage the full guest journey from enquiry and booking through to check-out • Deliver personalised, high-standard bushveld hospitality experiences • Handle guest feedback and ensure service recovery where required Operational Management • Oversee housekeeping and garden staff, ensuring meticulous standards • Conduct daily property inspections to ensure room readiness and upkeep • Manage maintenance schedules, perform minor repairs, and coordinate local contractors for larger issues Financial & Stock Control • Manage monthly operational budgets and petty cash • Conduct weekly stock-takes of beverages, linen, and cleaning supplies • Maintain cost awareness and operational efficiency Compliance & Safety • Ensure adherence to Marloth Park regulations (noise, speed limits, wildlife safety) • Maintain a safe environment for both guests and staff Salary: R20,000 – R25,000 per month (DOE) Accommodation: Live-Out This role is ideal for a highly organised, hands-on hospitality professional who thrives in an independent management position and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences within a unique wildlife setting.
