Hospitality and Outdoor - New Vacancy - Assistant Head Guide / Senior Guide Madikwe; North West A luxury Safari operation in Madikwe is seeking an experienced Senior Guide / Assistant Head Guide to join its professional conservation and Hospitality team. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a passionate wildlife professional who thrives on delivering exceptional guest experiences while mentoring junior guides and supporting daily guiding operations. The successful Guide will play an important leadership role within the guiding department, assisting with guide development, training, guest experiences, vehicle standards, and operational requirements. This position offers the opportunity to work within a world-class Big 5 reserve while advancing your career within the safari and Hospitality industry. As the Assistant Head Guide ; you will be expected to lead by example in the field, ensuring that all guiding activities are conducted safely, professionally, and in line with established operational standards. You will assist in maintaining the quality of guest experiences across game drives, guided bush activities, and wildlife encounters while helping to uphold the property's reputation for excellence. This role requires a strong combination of guiding expertise, leadership ability, and guest interaction skills. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Guide and lodge management team to support daily operations, conduct guide assessments, assist with training programmes, oversee vehicle and equipment standards, and ensure compliance with all guiding and safety procedures. The ideal candidate will be passionate about conservation, have a strong understanding of wildlife ecology, and enjoy sharing knowledge with guests and fellow guides. In addition to offering exceptional safari experiences, you will play an important role in developing junior team members and contributing to the overall success of the guiding department. Job Requirements FGASA Level 1 qualification or higher Valid PDP and Driver's Licence Valid First Aid Certification DEAT / NDT Registration Previous experience as a Senior Guide or experienced Guide Strong knowledge of wildlife, ecology, and conservation Excellent guest interaction and hosting skills Ability to mentor and train junior guides Professional presentation and communication skills Strong leadership and organisational abilities Experience conducting game drives and guided bush experiences Passion for Safari ; conservation, and guest satisfaction Package Competitive salary package dependent on experience Live-in accommodation provided Meals included Uniform supplied Career growth opportunities within a luxury safari operation Work within one of South Africa's premier Big 5 destinations Start Date: ASAP
