This dynamic role requires a true culinary all‑rounder, capable of working across hot kitchen, cold kitchen, and pastry sections, while also serving as relief chef at the reserve’s exclusive‑use private villa. ? Package & Benefits Salary: R10,500 per month ? Location: Limpopo ? Live‑in accommodation provided ⏰ Rotation: 6 weeks on duty / 2 weeks off ? Medical aid contribution ? Pension fund contribution ? Key Responsibilities Work confidently across hot kitchen, cold kitchen, and pastry sections Provide relief and operational support wherever required Prepare and present food for breakfast, lunch, high tea, dinners, boma evenings, bush dinners, and special events Ensure consistency in flavour, presentation, portion size, and quality Act as relief chef, managing villa operations independently when required Liaise with villa hosts and service teams regarding menus, dietary requirements, and guest preferences Supervise; train, and mentor junior chefs and kitchen assistants Assist with ordering, stock control, and menu development Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and operational standards ✅ Minimum Requirements Recognised professional culinary qualification 3–5 years’ professional kitchen experience Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie Proven all‑rounder experience across hot kitchen, cold kitchen, and pastry Five‑star lodge, hotel, resort, or fine‑dining background strongly preferred Experience in game lodge, private villa, or remote hospitality advantageous Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, pastry production, and modern presentation Ability to work independently and manage villa culinary operations Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, stock control, and portion control Valid South African ID or work authorisation Contactable professional references Driver’s licence advantageous ✨ Ideal Candidate A genuinely versatile culinary professional, passionate about food and five‑star hospitality, flexible in adapting to operational needs, and confident working independently in a remote lodge environment. ? ?
