Assistant General Manager – Luxury Safari Lodge | Near Hoedspruit Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager for a luxury safari lodge near Hoedspruit. This live-in role offers the opportunity to support overall lodge operations while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and high service standards. Requirements: · Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field · Minimum 5 years’ senior management experience within a lodge or luxury hospitality setting · Strong knowledge of lodge departments (F&B, Housekeeping, Front Office, Maintenance) · Financial literacy, budgeting, and cost-control experience · Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills · Excellent guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills · Computer literate (MS Office, PMS & POS systems) · Familiarity with lodge management systems (ResRequest, Semper, PANstrat) advantageous · Fluent in English; other local languages an advantage · Valid driver’s licence and ability to work flexible shifts · Live-in required Key Responsibilities: · Support the General Manager in overseeing all lodge operations and daily management of departments · Maintain high guest service standards, handling VIP guests, complaints, and special requests · Lead daily management meetings and operational handovers · Monitor and improve operational processes, SOPs, and service delivery · Assist with financial management, budgeting, petty cash, stock control, and revenue optimisation · Manage staff scheduling, training, onboarding, and development · Ensure compliance with health, safety, labour, and environmental regulations · Coordinate maintenance and infrastructure upkeep with the Maintenance Manager · Implement and maintain lodge management systems and reporting processes · Submit operational and financial reports to General Operations Manager · Perform additional duties as required to support lodge operations Package: · Salary: R18,000, negotiable depending on experience · Accommodation: Live-in provided To apply, please send your updated CV, reference letters, qualifications, and a recent head & shoulders photo Please note: Only candidates meeting the listed requirements will be contacted.
