We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead our sales operations within a defined geographic region. About the Role
As our Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the area sales strategy, leading a motivated sales team, and ensuring sustainable business growth. You will play a key role in expanding our customer base, increasing market share, and delivering exceptional customer experiences while achieving ambitious sales targets.
What You'll Be Doing
Sales Leadership
Develop and execute area sales strategies aligned with regional business objectives.
Drive sales growth, profitability, and market share.
Identify and secure new business opportunities.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to maximise opportunities.
Forecast sales volumes and contribute to regional planning.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
Understand customer needs and provide value-added solutions.
Resolve customer issues effectively while maintaining long-term partnerships.
Identify opportunities for both horizontal and vertical business growth.
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, mentor and inspire a high-performing sales team.
Set clear performance expectations and monitor KPI achievement.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing development.
Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence
Monitor stock availability and order fulfilment processes.
Manage area sales budgets and control operating costs.
Ensure consistent execution of sales and merchandising initiatives across the region.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
Valid Code EB Driver's Licence.
Experience
3–5 years' experience in a sales and marketing environment.
Proven experience leading and developing successful sales teams.
Experience managing strategic customer relationships.
Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Skills & Competencies
Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
Strong commercial and business acumen.
Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills.
Computer literacy, including MS Office and SAP.
