Job Summary
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a Camp Chef for a Luxury Safari Camp located in the Kalahari.
This is a live-in position suited to a passionate and adaptable chef who is comfortable working in a remote safari environment and delivering high-quality meals for guests and staff.
Role Overview
Preparing and presenting daily meals for guests in line with luxury safari camp standards
Catering for a variety of dietary requirements and preferences
Planning menus, ordering supplies and managing stock levels
Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety
Managing kitchen costs and minimising waste
Preparing staff meals as required
Working closely with camp management to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
Previous experience as a Camp Chef or in a similar lodge or remote environment
Strong cooking skills with the ability to work independently
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Good organisational and time-management skills
Flexible, hands-on attitude suited to camp life
Ability to work under pressure with limited resources
Package
Salary: R10,000 – R15,000, negotiable dependent on experience
Live-in position
