A Luxury Hotel resort situated in the scenic Knysna coastal region is seeking a dynamic and experienced Front Office Manager to lead the Front Office team and ensure an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure. The ideal candidate will be a confident, hands-on leader with a genuine passion for hospitality, strong organisational skills, and a steadfast commitment to delivering outstanding service. Key Responsibilities: Operational Oversight: Direct the day-to-day operations of the Front Office department. Team Leadership: Manage and guide the reception and reservations functions. Guest Arrival & Departure: Ensure a seamless, warm, and welcoming check-in and check-out process for all visitors. Inventory & Allocation: Oversee room assignments, booking tracks, occupancy levels, and specific guest requirements. Guest Relations: Handle inquiries, resolve complaints, and manage special requests professionally and efficiently. Satisfaction Tracking: Build strong guest relationships to maintain high levels of satisfaction. Staff Development: Train, motivate, coach, and foster the professional growth of the Front Office team. Standard Compliance: Guarantee that resort policies, operational procedures, and service standards are strictly maintained. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure cohesive operations and an exceptional guest experience. Administrative Efficiency: Monitor department administration to ensure accurate and efficient procedures are followed. Performance Targets: Assist in achieving departmental targets and maintaining high operational standards. Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in a Front Office Management or similar hospitality supervisory role. Education: A hospitality qualification is highly advantageous. Leadership: Proven track record in team management and people skills. Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and problem-solving abilities. Technical Skills: Previous experience using modern Property Management Systems (PMS). Interpersonal Skills: Strong guest-service capabilities and a professional, positive, hands-on approach. Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays. Composure: Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
