Our client, a leading citrus packing operations company, is seeking to employ a Logistics Manager to join their team at Kirkwood Packing Operations.

Requirements:

Senior Certificate / Grade 12

Minimum 5 years’ experience in citrus packing or logistics environment

Formal qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent (advantageous)

Computer literate (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook)

Supervisory and leadership skills

Interpersonal skills and team collaboration

Ability to build trust and contribute to team success
Responsibilities:
Logistics Operations
-
Plan and manage inbound and outbound logistics using productivity measures and JIT principles.

Ensure timely and accurate processing of warm loads, special requests, and priority targets.

Analyse packing instructions and coordinate line setups to meet market demand.

Manage rejected or repacked fruit in line with company protocols.
Compliance and Quality

Adhere to Health & Safety procedures, BRC, and HACCP standards.

Identify deviations and implement corrective actions promptly.
Staff Management and Development
-
Supervise logistics staff and ensure compliance with company policies.

Drive skills development and coaching within the team.
-
Promote a collaborative and efficient working environment.
Administration and Reporting
-
Maintain accurate records of logistics activities.

Monitor key performance metrics and prepare reports for management.
