Duties:

• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop accurate demand forecasts for products and materials.

• Analyze historical sales data, market trends, customer demand patterns, lead times, and manufacturing minimum order quantities (MOQs) to inform forecasting models.

• Adjust procurement plans based on demand fluctuations to optimize inventory levels and reduce stockouts or excess stock.

• Monitor inventory levels of finished products to ensure alignment with demand forecasts and production schedules.

• Identify potential inventory shortages or surpluses and communicate with stakeholders to address discrepancies.

• Coordinate with suppliers to place orders, expedite deliveries, and manage lead times, ensuring timely receipt of goods while minimizing excess inventory.

• Maintain regular communication with suppliers regarding order status, manufacturing dates, dispatch schedules, and import documentation for customs.

• Resolve supply chain disruptions, manage logistics, and coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure smooth import processes.

• Collaborate closely with internal teams and warehouse staff to ensure stock is received on time with proper documentation.

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, tracking performance metrics like on-time manufacturing and dispatch.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes, demand forecasting, and inventory management.

• Ensure compliance with import, customs, and transportation requirements, maintaining accurate records of supplier communications.

Requirements:

• Matric with higher grade Maths and Accounting.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

• 3-5 years of supply chain/procurement experience, preferably within an FMCG environment.

• Proven experience in procurement, demand planning, and inventory management.

• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong management skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in import/export and logistics coordination.

• Knowledge of supply chain analytics and supplier performance metrics.
