ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for 2 experienced Senior Procurement Buyers to join the Procurement Department on a fixed-term contract.

The successful candidates will manage the full Procure-to-Pay (P2P) lifecycle within their allocated portfolio, combining strategic sourcing and operational procurement to deliver commercial value, supplier performance and uninterrupted service delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement sourcing and category strategies.

• Conduct market and spend analysis to identify sourcing and cost-saving opportunities.

• Manage the full RFQ/RFP and tender process, including supplier engagement, bid evaluation and award recommendations.

• Maintain accurate and auditable procurement and sourcing documentation.

• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures and delegated authority.

• Identify and escalate procurement risks, deviations and potential conflicts of interest.

• Negotiate, implement and manage supplier contracts.

• Monitor supplier performance and conduct supplier reviews.

• Build strong supplier relationships and support supplier development initiatives.

• Manage day-to-day purchasing, purchase orders, expediting and invoice queries.

• Provide procurement support and advice to internal stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost optimisation.

• Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Finance, SHEQ, IT and other departments.

REQUIREMENTS

• National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics, Commerce or a related field.

• 3–5 years' experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or buying.

• Proven experience in supplier sourcing and negotiations.

• Experience in spend analysis and supplier performance management.

• Experience in contract and commercial management.

• Strong understanding of procurement principles, governance and compliance.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Experience working with an ERP/procurement system.

• CIPS, SAPICS or equivalent professional qualification will be advantageous.
