Key Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting the calculation and analysis of technical provisions for financial reporting
- Assisting with the preparation, review, and analysis of IFRS 17 actuarial input
- Contributing to the development, testing, and maintenance of IFRS 17 models, processes, and controls
- Collaborating across actuarial, finance, capital, and audit teams to ensure accurate and compliant reporting
- Driving process improvement, digitization, and automation initiatives
- Applying actuarial principles to niche insurance products and reporting requirements
The Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will be technically capable, curious, and eager to contribute in a collaborative environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in Actuarial Science with strong academic performance
- Nearly or newly qualified Actuary (ASSA or equivalent), with membership of a recognized actuarial body
- 3+ years’ actuarial experience, preferably within short‑term insurance
- Strong exposure to reserving and actuarial reporting
- Exposure to IFRS 17 advantageous but not essential
- Programming skills in VBA, R, Python, or similar considered beneficial
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
