Revenue Manager - Iconic Conservation Lodge Group - Johannesburg Kendrick Recruitment is conducting a search for a commercially sharp and analytically driven Revenue Manager for one of South Africa's most iconic luxury conservation lodge groups, headquartered at their Melrose Arch offices in Johannesburg. This is a newly created senior role - a strategic appointment that reflects the group's ambition to optimise revenue performance across their exclusive lodge portfolio while fiercely protecting the brand integrity and conservation-led positioning that defines them. The Revenue Manager will own pricing, inventory, forecasting and channel strategy, while leading the Reservations team and partnering closely with the Head of Sales. Minimum Requirements: Relevant degree - BCom Finance, Informatics, Analytics or similar - essential Minimum 5 years' senior revenue management experience within luxury hospitality or hotel sector - essential Deep expertise in pricing, forecasting and inventory management for limited-inventory, high-ADR products Strong understanding of the luxury trade ecosystem: DMC/wholesale, consortia, GDS, OTA Advanced Excel/Sheets proficiency; BI tools (Tableau, Power BI or Looker) Hands-on experience with PMS/CRS/RMS systems (Opera/Protel, SynXis, TravelClick, IDeaS/Duetto) and channel managers (SiteMinder or similar) Experience with rate parity tools, rate shoppers and CRM systems Proven ability to lead a reservations team and manage cross-functional revenue processes Analytical; commercially minded and a clear communicator who drives action Stable work history with contactable references Key Responsibilities: ? Strategy and Pricing Build seasonal pricing architecture, BAR/LRA, fences, LOS and package design by camp and suite type Run displacement analysis for buyouts, exclusive-use, private vehicles and high-yield experiences Recommend tactical offers aligned to occupancy targets and brand positioning ? Forecasting and Inventory Produce 18-month demand forecasts by market, segment and channel Manage pacing and pick-up dashboards; set allocation, stop-sell and open-close rules Optimise shoulder and low periods while protecting peak demand ? Channel and Mix Shape and manage channel strategy with Sales across direct, DMC/wholesale, consortia, GDS and select OTA Evaluate promotional proposals with ROI models and enforce rate parity ? Reservations Leadership Lead and manage the Reservations team to deliver exceptional service and conversion standards Oversee waitlists, group bookings, special requests and complex reservation scenarios Monitor conversion rates and implement improvements ? Reporting Lead weekly revenue meetings covering pick-up, ADR, RevPAR, GOPPAR, mix and forecast risks Deliver monthly performance packs for leadership Align with Finance on budgeting, reforecasting and owner reporting What Makes This Role Unique: This is not a standard hotel revenue management role. You will be working with a small, ultra-exclusive inventory across multiple camps in Africa's largest privately protected conservation area.
