Restaurant Manager – Luxury 5★ Hotel We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and service-driven Restaurant Manager to lead the daily operations of a prestigious luxury 5-star hotel restaurant and bar. This role requires a polished hospitality professional with exceptional leadership ability, strong operational expertise, and a genuine passion for delivering world-class guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine dining or luxury hospitality and the ability to inspire high-performing teams while maintaining the highest standards of service excellence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Guest Experience & Service Excellence Deliver exceptional, personalised guest experiences with professionalism and attention to detail Build strong guest relationships and maintain detailed guest preferences and profiles Handle guest feedback, complaints, and compliments with confidence and discretion Ensure smooth and efficient restaurant service operations at all times Maintain luxury hospitality standards in food, beverage, wine service, and presentation Drive an environment where memorable guest experiences and service excellence are consistently achieved Leadership & People Management Lead; coach, motivate, and develop a high-performing restaurant team Conduct training to ensure staff consistently meet luxury service standards Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative team culture Manage staff performance, disciplinary processes, scheduling, and ongoing development Ensure excellent communication across departments and operational teams Maintain exceptional standards of employee grooming, hygiene, and presentation Operations & Quality Control Oversee daily restaurant and bar operations to ensure seamless service delivery Monitor food quality, beverage standards, cleanliness, equipment, and overall presentation Work closely with the kitchen and Food & Beverage leadership team to ensure operational excellence Coordinate special events, promotions, and guest experiences Implement innovative ideas and service enhancements to maintain a competitive edge Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, health & safety regulations, and hygiene standards Commercial & Financial Management Support revenue growth through effective merchandising, upselling, and promotional initiatives Monitor labour costs, scheduling, stock control, and operating expenses Assist with beverage and operating stock management and variance control Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and guest patronage Research market trends and competitor activity to enhance the restaurant offering REQUIREMENTS: SA Citizen Matric / Grade 12 qualification Hospitality / Hotel Diploma or Degree Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager within a luxury 5-star hotel, fine dining, or premium hospitality environment Strong food, beverage, and wine knowledge Exceptional guest relations and interpersonal skills Strong leadership, coaching, and team development abilities Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Sound understanding of restaurant financials, labour management, and cost control Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence Immaculate personal presentation and professional grooming standards What We Offer Opportunity to work within a prestigious luxury hospitality environment Career growth and development opportunities Dynamic and professional team culture Exposure to world-class hospitality standards Competitive remuneration package Apply Now If you are passionate about luxury hospitality, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are committed to delivering unforgettable dining experiences, we would love to hear from you.
