Executive Apartment Hotel Group is looking for an exceptional, energetic and highly experienced Reservations and Revenue Coordinator to join our hospitality team in Johannesburg. We require a candidate who has worked in hotel or serviced-apartment reservations, understands reservation systems and online travel agencies, and can manage enquiries, bookings, rates and availability accurately and efficiently. This is a fast-paced position for someone who communicates professionally, works with urgency and understands that every enquiry is a valuable opportunity to secure a booking. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will be responsible for: · Responding promptly and professionally to all telephone, email, website, WhatsApp and social-media booking enquiries. · Converting enquiries into confirmed bookings through excellent communication, follow-up and sales skills. · Processing new bookings quickly and accurately. · Sending booking confirmations, quotations, invoices and payment instructions without delay. · Handling amendments, extensions, upgrades, cancellations, refunds and special requests. · Managing individual, corporate, group and long-stay reservations. · Ensuring that all guest information, rates, dates, payment details and special requests are captured correctly. · Managing reservations across all company properties and booking platforms. · Monitoring room availability and preventing overbookings, duplicated bookings and incorrect allocations. · Maintaining accurate guest profiles and reservation records. · Communicating important booking information to Front Desk, Housekeeping, Finance and Operations. · Following up on outstanding payments and ensuring that payment requirements are met before arrival. · Preparing arrival lists, occupancy reports, booking reports and revenue-related reports. · Assisting guests with accommodation options and recommending suitable room categories. · Upselling room types, longer stays, additional services and available packages. · Building and maintaining professional relationships with corporate clients, travel agents and booking partners. · Resolving reservation queries and complaints professionally and efficiently. OTA AND PLATFORM MANAGEMENT The candidate will be responsible for managing all online travel agencies and booking platforms, including platforms such as: · Apply Below · Expedia · Airbnb · Agoda · TravelGround · LekkeSlaap · Google Hotel listings · Direct booking platforms · Corporate and travel-agent booking channels Responsibilities will include: · Monitoring OTA extranets throughout the day. · Responding promptly to OTA messages, enquiries, requests and complaints. · Loading and updating rates, availability, restrictions and promotions. · Ensuring that room descriptions, photographs, policies and property information remain accurate. · Managing stop-sells, minimum-stay restrictions and closed arrival or departure dates. · Monitoring cancellations, no-shows and payment requirements. · Maintaining rate parity across all platforms. · Checking that reservations correctly integrate into the property-management system. · Identifying and correcting rate, inventory or mapping errors immediately. · Managing guest reviews and escalating operational concerns where necessary. · Monitoring OTA performance, visibility, conversion and promotional opportunities. RATE AND REVENUE MANAGEMENT The successful candidate must be able to: · Review rates and availability daily across all properties and platforms. · Adjust rates according to occupancy, demand, booking pace, seasonality, events and competitor pricing. · Protect the company’s minimum approved rates. · Identify high-demand dates and increase rates where appropriate. · Introduce promotions strategically during lower-demand periods. · Monitor occupancy, average daily rate, revenue per available room and booking conversion. · Avoid unnecessary discounting and protect the profitability of every property. · Provide management with regular rate, occupancy and revenue updates. · Ensure that approved rates and promotions are correctly loaded across all channels. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Applicants must have: · Previous hotel, resort, lodge or serviced-apartment reservations experience. · Practical experience working with a property-management system, channel manager and OTA extranets. · A sound understanding of rates, room inventory, availability and reservation procedures. · Experience managing Apply Below, Expedia, Airbnb or similar platforms. · Strong written and verbal English communication skills. · Excellent computer, email and administrative skills. · Strong sales ability and the confidence to convert enquiries into bookings. · Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. · The ability to work quickly without making careless mistakes. · Strong organizational, multitasking and problem-solving abilities. · A professional telephone manner and guest-focused approach. · The ability to remain calm and effective in a high-pressure environment. · The discipline to follow up on every enquiry and outstanding booking. · Availability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required. · Reliable transport to and from work.
