Job Summary
The Recruitment Assistant supports the hiring process by coordinating recruitment activities, maintaining candidate records, and assisting recruiters and hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle. This role plays a key part in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and positive experience for candidates and internal stakeholders.
Working hours may vary based on recruitment workload and hiring needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with posting job vacancies on job boards, career pages, and social media platforms
- Screen CVs and applications against job requirements
- Capturing and compiling candidate profiles
- Schedule interviews and coordinate communication between candidates and hiring managers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Respond to candidate inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Prepare interview materials and assist with interview logistics
- Support background checks, reference checks, and onboarding documentation
- Generate recruitment reports and track hiring metrics as required
- Ensure recruitment processes comply with company policies and relevant employment legislation
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Post Matric qualification preferred
- Education Experience is necessary - either a primary or high school
- Internet access and own PC required
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
