Job Summary
In order to be considered the following is required:
- Matric essential
- Degree in Information Technology advantageous
- Formal qualification/s in Project Management advantageous
- PMBOK or Prince2 experience will be advantageous
- Agile / Scrum / Kanban experience advantageous
- Formal courses in Agile development advantageous
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably for at least 5 years, including being responsible for implementation of ICT projects, facilitating project and related workshops and effectively communicating with all project stakeholders
- Extensive experience with managing network, information security, database and server, data centre (local and cloud) related projects.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, facilitating and integrating a project across multiple divisions within an organisation and with third party vendors.
- Extensive experience with using Project management tools including MS Project, JIRA, DevOps
- Extensive understanding of IT software products / development
- Extensive understanding of the ITIL Framework
- Proven experience and understanding of organisational change and / or transformation and the tools / frameworks to manage change through the organisation
- Must be competent in workshop facilitation techniques
- Ability to build strong and effective relationships with business partners by understanding their needs and goals as well as what motivates and engages them
- SDLC and Implementation experience
- Formal exposure to human management sciences, including time management, conflict management, team management and creativity techniques preferable
Responsibilities:
- Specifying and overseeing project planning, analysis, execution, implementation and post implementation support
- Measure, control and report on all project activities related to milestones and budgets
- Liaise with the Infrastructure Team, Business, Analysts, Testers and the Developers to coordinate the project and deliverables
- Managing projects and relationships through effective and efficient communication amongst all stakeholders
- Ensuring all necessary documentation is in place and project management governance is followed
- Managing project delivery from third parties, including external vendors providers and channels
- Attendance at and contribution to the Project Steerco
- Compiling and managing the project plan / schedule
- Managing the changes requested, Scope Management
- Managing the impact of change on the organisation
- Managing the budget
- Managing project resources
- Managing the scope and quality
- Managing project risks
