Marketing Manager | Luxury Property Group | Johannesburg Salary: Negotiable DOE Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and strategic Marketing Manager to join a luxury property team in Johannesburg. This senior, hands-on role combines high-level planning with day-to-day execution across both digital and traditional marketing channels. The successful candidate will manage the marketing team operationally, coordinate cross-departmental initiatives, and drive revenue growth through strategic lead generation and brand development. Key Responsibilities: Marketing Strategy & Planning Develop and support annual marketing strategies aligned with business objectives Build detailed marketing plans with objectives, tactics, timelines, and budgets Translate strategy into actionable plans for the team with quarterly and monthly activity schedules Set KPIs and success metrics for all marketing initiatives Ensure alignment of marketing strategies across all departments Content & Channel Management Develop and implement multi-channel content strategies across digital (social media, email, website) and traditional channels (print, outdoor, direct mail, PR) Manage editorial calendars and content production schedules Coordinate content distribution and ensure brand consistency and quality control Liaise with external agencies, freelancers, and creative partners Balance digital and traditional marketing approaches for maximum audience reach Brand Management & Compliance Act as brand guardian, ensuring correct and consistent use of brand guidelines Review and approve all marketing materials and conduct regular brand audits Provide brand training and guidance to internal teams Collaborate with operations, sales, and other departments to uphold brand standards Lead Generation & Revenue Growth Develop and execute lead generation strategies focused on direct bookings Manage performance marketing campaigns including SEO, SEM, paid social, display advertising, and direct mail Optimise lead nurturing programmes and monitor conversion rates Collaborate with revenue management and sales teams to maximise lead quality and conversion Analyse booking patterns and customer behaviour to refine targeting strategies Monitor marketing ROI and optimise campaigns accordingly Strategy Execution & Cross-Functional Alignment Ensure teams understand and execute the marketing strategy effectively Work with department heads to cascade plans and secure alignment Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings and provide marketing support to all departments Ensure guest experience aligns with brand promises Measurement; Reporting & Optimisation Track and measure performance against KPIs Produce regular reports and provide data-driven recommendations Monitor budget spend and flag variances Conduct post-campaign reviews and implement learnings Benchmark performance against industry standards and competitors Team Management Manage and support marketing team members, delegate tasks, and coordinate workloads Conduct coaching, training, performance reviews, and support team development Assist in recruiting and onboarding new team members Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance team culture Requirements: 7–10 years’ experience in marketing, with at least 2 years at a senior level Experience managing in-house marketing teams within the hospitality, travel, or leisure sectors Proven track record in digital and traditional marketing, lead generation, and revenue growth Experience developing marketing strategies, executing plans, and measuring results Strong understanding of brand management and acting as a brand guardian Proficiency with digital channels (SEO, SEM, paid social, email) and traditional channels (print, direct mail, outdoor, PR, events) Knowledge of marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools Excellent project management, stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure Desirable: Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field Professional marketing qualifications (CIM, Google Ads, Digital Marketing certifications) Experience in hotels, resorts, or similar luxury environments Knowledge of revenue management, email marketing, PR, event marketing, and vendor management Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV to apply for this opportunity.
