Job Title: Head of Central Sales & Telesales
Location: JHB (Hybrid)
About the Role:
We are looking for a senior sales leader to design, build, and lead a new central sales function. This role will initially oversee a telesales-driven team, converting inbound and channel-generated leads, and will progressively evolve into a digitally enabled customer acquisition engine.
This is a strategic leadership position owning the full central sales ecosystem—from team design, processes, and KPIs to systems and performance management—ensuring seamless customer journeys and high conversion rates across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and lead the central sales team, including telesales and digital sales roles
- Design and implement sales processes, scripts, quality standards, and KPIs
- Drive lead conversion from multiple channels: employer partnerships, market activations, QR campaigns, and digital platforms
- Ensure excellent customer support throughout the application journey
- Define and implement CRM, lead management, and workflow systems
- Establish performance metrics and incentive structures aligned with business goals
- Develop a roadmap to evolve from a telesales-heavy model to a digital-first, automated customer acquisition process
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Analytics
Experience & Qualifications:
- 8+ years leading high-volume centralized sales operations, preferably in financial services, fintech, telecoms, or similar
- Proven experience building sales functions from scratch or leading major sales transformations
- Strong understanding of telesales operations, digital sales, CRM, and customer journey design
- Experience with performance-based remuneration and incentive structures
- Advantage: exposure to consumer credit, lending, regulated environments, or multi-channel acquisition campaigns
