We are seeking a highly skilled SysOps Team Lead to design, build and operate a modern Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platform that enables efficient, automated and secure IT operations. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for driving automation, enhancing monitoring capabilities, optimizing toolsets, and leading a technical team to deliver high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities Automation & Tooling

• Design and implement automation workflows using PowerShell, Python, Ansible or RMM platforms.

• Create and maintain Python scripts to streamline operational tasks.

• Optimize and manage toolsets such as N-able, Acronis, Intune, Microsoft MDE, BitDefender, Qualys, Meraki.

• Ensure automation and process optimization form the core of service delivery.

Monitoring & Patching

• Drive proactive monitoring and implement self-healing systems.

• Configure and manage AutoPilot deployments and patching processes.

• Use analytics and reporting to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

Reporting & Insights

• Build dashboards and reports using Power BI and internal tools.

• Present insights, performance trends, risks and improvements to management.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor and develop the SysOps team to meet performance and SLA targets.

• Conduct regular team meetings, 1:1 sessions and support professional growth.

• Provide escalation support for SysOps-related issues.

• Promote a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.

• Ensure adherence to ITIL service management principles.

Collaboration & Strategic Initiatives

• Work with other support teams to understand technology requirements.

• Manage SysOps-related initiatives and ensure timely, on-budget delivery.

• Encourage documentation and knowledge sharing.

• Stay current with industry trends and recommend improvements.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong passion for automation and problem-solving.

• Advanced scripting in Python and PowerShell.

• Proficiency with Power BI reporting and data visualisation.

• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong technical proficiency across monitoring, toolsets and IT support systems.

Experience

• Proven experience designing automation workflows.

• Hands-on scripting for automation (Python, PowerShell).

• Experience managing and optimizing RMM toolsets.

• Strong background in monitoring, alerting and self-healing systems.

• Experience leading technical teams.

• Skilled in patching, AutoPilot deployments and hybrid environment management.

• Practical understanding of ITIL principles.

• Experience working in a Managed Services (MSP) environment is advantageous.

Qualifications

Required:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)

• Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator (MD-102)

• Power BI Data Analyst Associate

• PowerShell Scripting Certification (Microsoft/Pluralsight endorsed)

• Cloud Certification: CompTIA Cloud+ OR Azure/AWS Architecture
