Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and creative Internal Design Lead to join a leading luxury hospitality group based in Sandton, Gauteng. This is an exciting opportunity for a design professional with a strong understanding of luxury hospitality environments, interiors, and project coordination. Key responsibilities: Lead and oversee interior design projects across a portfolio of luxury hospitality properties. Develop and maintain design concepts that align with luxury brand standards and the overall guest experience. Manage the design process from initial concept through to implementation and completion. Collaborate with architects, interior designers, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Prepare and review design briefs, layouts, specifications, mood boards, and presentation materials. Ensure design projects remain aligned with approved budgets, timelines, and quality standards. Source and coordinate finishes, furnishings, fixtures, artwork, and other design elements. Conduct site visits and oversee the implementation of design concepts. Maintain consistency across properties while ensuring each space retains its own character and sense of place. Monitor current luxury hospitality, interior design, and international design trends. Provide creative direction and practical design solutions where required. Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Requirements: Relevant qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field. Proven experience in interior design, preferably within luxury hospitality, hotels, lodges, or high-end residential environments. Strong understanding of luxury interiors, finishes, furnishings, and spatial design. Experience managing design projects from concept through to completion. Excellent project management, organisational, and communication skills. Strong creative vision combined with practical and commercial awareness. Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with various stakeholders. Proficiency in relevant design and presentation software. Strong attention to detail and a high standard of design execution. A portfolio demonstrating relevant design experience will be advantageous.
