Job Summary
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Streaming Engineer to support the development and management of real-time data processing systems within a fast-paced telecommunications environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in building scalable, high-performance data pipelines that enable data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.
This role is fully onsite and requires availability to join active, ongoing projects as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant data streaming architectures using technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, and Spark Streaming.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize real-time data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and analyzing large volumes of telecom-related data.
- Ensure high throughput, low latency, and data integrity across all streaming systems.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and reporting solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Proactively identify and resolve system bottlenecks, failures, and performance issues.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies and best practices in data streaming and distributed systems.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in data engineering, with strong exposure to real-time data streaming environments.
- Proven experience designing and implementing streaming solutions in a telecommunications or high-volume data environment.
- Strong proficiency in Apache Kafka, Flink, and/or Spark Streaming.
- Solid programming skills in Java, Python, and/or Scala.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and data processing frameworks.
- Experience in data modeling and schema design for scalable systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including related streaming services.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Language Requirements
- Fluent in English (mandatory).
- French proficiency is advantageous.
Additional Advantageous Skills
- Exposure to machine learning and artificial intelligence frameworks.
- Knowledge of telecommunications network protocols and system architectures.
- Experience with data visualization tools and reporting platforms.
- Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
