As Club General Manager, you will be responsible for building a sustainable and thriving wellness community while driving the full operational and commercial performance of the club. This role requires a dynamic leader who can inspire high-performance teams, elevate member experiences, and deliver exceptional commercial results in a fast-paced premium environment. Key Responsibilities Commercial & Business Management Drive club profitability, revenue growth, and EBITDA performance Lead membership acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies Manage ancillary revenue streams including Personal Trainers, Health Professionals, Swim portfolio, and tenants Oversee club operating expenses and full P&L accountability Manage capital investment projects and ensure ROI delivery Ensure operational compliance, audits, and risk management procedures are maintained Facility & Operations Management Ensure the club consistently delivers a premium social wellness experience Maintain exceptional standards across all facilities, equipment, and wellness spaces Oversee maintenance, utilities, health & safety, and preventative maintenance programmes Uphold brand excellence and operational standards at all times Leadership & People Management Recruit; develop, and retain high-performing talent aligned with company values Build a motivated, engaged, and performance-driven culture Lead staff training, coaching, performance management, and employee engagement Manage contractors, tenants, and departmental teams effectively Ensure clear communication and adherence to company policies and procedures Member Experience & Service Excellence Drive exceptional member experiences through hospitality-led service Ensure teams deliver memorable and personalized member interactions Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and relationship-focused club culture Handle member queries and complaints professionally and decisively Lead the delivery of holistic wellness experiences aligned with the club’s social wellness strategy Competitor & Market Awareness Monitor competitor activity and market trends Conduct monthly competitor analysis Identify risks and opportunities within the surrounding market and demographics Requirements Essential Qualifications & Experience NSC Matric Certificate Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Hospitality, Retail, or related field (NQF 7 essential) Minimum 6+ years’ experience as a Club General Manager, Hospitality General Manager, or similar senior leadership role within a premium/luxury hospitality, wellness, country club, or retail environment Minimum 4 years’ experience leading and managing teams Proven commercial acumen and strong financial management skills Strong project management experience Solid understanding of HR and people management practices Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment What We’re Looking For A highly presentable and professional individual Someone who embodies a healthy, fit, and wellness-focused lifestyle Strong entrepreneurial and business-owner mindset Exceptional interpersonal and customer relationship skills A confident leader with the ability to inspire and motivate teams Passion for hospitality, wellness, and service excellence Ability to manage multiple priorities with confidence and efficiency Apply Now If you are a driven leader with a passion for wellness, hospitality, and people development, we would love to hear from you.
