Job Summary
An ICT Consulting client is looking for a Cloud Product Owner to join their team in Johannesburg, GP.Purpose of the role:
The Cloud Product Owner (CPO) is responsible for the operational ownership and continuous improvement of cloud products and services across AWS and Microsoft Azure.
The Cloud Product Owner achieves this by:
- Managing the cloud service catalogue
- Prioritising and refining the product backlog
- Translating Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) strategy into executable initiatives
- Driving operational excellence across cloud services
- Supporting continuous improvement and cloud adoption
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the AWS and Azure cloud service roadmap and product backlog.
- Translate business requirements into prioritised cloud initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable and scalable cloud services.
- Drive stakeholder engagement across business, technology, security and operations teams.
- Ensure cloud services comply with governance, security and operational standards.
- Monitor cloud performance, costs, adoption and service delivery using key metrics.
- Champion Agile delivery and continuous improvement across cloud platforms.
- Identify opportunities to optimise, standardise and enhance cloud capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture and operations teams to ensure successful delivery and operational readiness.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, industry trends and best practices.
- Bachelor's Degree in: Information Technology, Engineering , Business and related discipline
- 8+ years' Product Ownership or Product Management experience
- Experience delivering enterprise cloud platforms
- Strong AWS and/or Azure expertise
- Experience within large enterprise environments (financial services preferred)
