Our client, an established luxury retailer renowned for its premium homeware and lifestyle products, is seeking a dynamic B2B Business Developer to spearhead expansion efforts and foster high-value client partnerships in Gauteng and beyond.
Duties:
Build and manage a personal client portfolio, leveraging existing networks and continuously cultivating new relationships
Prospect and engage interior designers, architects, corporate gifting buyers, and high-net-worth individuals across Gauteng and other provinces
Conduct regular off-site client visits, showroom presentations, and relationship meetings, ensuring consistent follow-up to nurture leads
Drive repeat visits, foster loyalty, and generate referrals through meaningful long-term client engagement
Meet and exceed monthly sales targets across walk-in, corporate gifting, and trade channels
Represent the company at industry events, design gatherings, and trade shows to expand brand presence
Deliver exceptional, personalised customer experiences that reflect the brand’s premium positioning
Maintain high visual merchandising standards within the showroom
Oversee daily showroom operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and ERP system transactions
Manage stock levels, conduct regular stock counts, and coordinate reordering to optimise inventory
Lead, develop, and mentor a small team of sales assistants, ensuring product knowledge and service standards are maintained
Ensure compliance with health and safety, POPIA, and other regulatory standards
Liaise with Centre Management and coordinate operational activities
Requirements:
At least 4 years of experience in a senior sales, store management, or assistant management role within retail or luxury markets
Proven ability to work independently, manage a territory, and develop new business opportunities
Strong building, prospecting, and relationship management skills
Expertise in visual merchandising and backstock management
Proficiency with ERP systems and point-of-sale operations
Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
