We are seeking a passionate, service-driven and highly organised Vehicle Fleet Manager to oversee and manage a diverse fleet of vehicles within a dynamic operational environment. This role is responsible for ensuring maximum vehicle uptime, workshop efficiency, cost control, and safety compliance while leading and developing a high-performing maintenance team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence and ensuring the fleet consistently meets performance and safety standards.

Fleet & Operations Management

• Ensure optimal vehicle uptime and availability.
  

• Oversee preventative maintenance schedules and repairs.
  

• Manage workshop efficiency and improve turnaround times.
  

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting systems.
  

• Monitor and manage fleet utilisation.
  

Financial & Cost Control

• Manage workshop and fleet budgets effectively.
  

• Control maintenance and repair costs.
  

• Monitor parts procurement and inventory management.
  

• Identify cost-saving initiatives without compromising safety or quality.
  

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  

• Implement systems to reduce incidents and vehicle downtime.
  

• Maintain fleet roadworthiness and legal compliance standards.
  

Team Leadership & Development

• Supervise and support workshop staff.
  

• Drive staff performance, accountability, and skills development.
  

• Conduct performance evaluations and ongoing training.
  

Operational Impact

• Support overall operational efficiency through reliable fleet performance.
  

• Contribute indirectly to positive guest experiences by ensuring safe and dependable transport services.
  

Requirements

• Trade qualification as a:
  

• Diesel Mechanic
  

• Motor Mechanic
  

  • Auto Electrician
    

• Valid driver’s license (Code B minimum; Code C/EC advantageous)
  

• Computer literacy (basic Excel, email, and maintenance systems)
  

Experience

• Minimum 5–8 years mechanical experience
  

• At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  

• Proven experience in fleet management
  

• Experience in remote or lodge-based operations advantageous
