An intimate and authentic safari lodge in the Balule is seeking a professional and passionate Field Guide to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for the bush, strong guest engagement skills, and the ability to deliver memorable and educational safari experiences in one of South Africa’s most iconic wildlife areas.Conduct guided game drives in the Balule Game Reserve and do Kruger Day Trips, delivering safe, informative, and engaging experiences.
Provide guests with in-depth knowledge of the local fauna, flora, geology, and ecology.
Host guests throughout their stay, ensuring exceptional service and attention to detail.
Maintain vehicles, equipment, and guide-related areas to the highest standard.
Support lodge operations when required, working closely with the lodge management and team.
Uphold conservation ethics, safety standards, and the camp’s brand values.
Requirements
Requirements
Nature Site Guide NQF 2 (minimum), First Aid, and Cassetha competency.
Valid PDP and Driver’s License.
Registered with DEAT/LEDET- UP to date
At least 1–2 years’ experience guiding in a Big 5 area (Sabi Sands experience advantageous).
Excellent communication and hosting skills.
Enthusiastic, professional, and a team player.
Strong guest relations and storytelling ability
